THE mother of a Lothians teenage runaway has said the Vicky Hamilton case has made her think the "darkest of thoughts".
Sasha Martin, 15, went missing from Lasswade, Midlothian, last October. Last week, police released CCTV images of her from Liverpool Street Station in London, taken shortly after she disappeared.

Her family, who have not heard from her since the day the footage was taken, have since watched the unfolding events of the Hamilton murder case with growing horror.

Tracy Martin today made a fresh appeal for information about her daughter and said: "My life is a living hell.

"Something inside tells me she is still alive, but it's the not knowing that is the hardest.

"Since she went missing, the police have found the body of poor Vicky Hamilton – that sent me thinking the darkest of thoughts.

"I just want her home. I appeal from the bottom of my heart for her to get in touch.

"Only mothers whose children have gone missing can possibly understand the pain I'm feeling. It's a nightmare which never seems to end."
