THE Scottish Parliament last night voted in favour of a referendum on the controversial EU Reform Treaty.
The issue is reserved to Westminster, but the vote will send a clear signal to Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister, who refused to hold a poll before signing the treaty last week.

The SNP and Scottish Tories said Mr Brown had treated the British public with "contempt" for failing to have a referendum before signing the treaty.

Labour and the Liberal Democrats said the treaty would allow the EU to consider vital issues such as climate change.

Malcolm Chisholm, Labour's spokesman on Europe, said a referendum was unnecessary and accused the SNP of forming an "unholy alliance" with the Tories for "opportunistic political reasons".

The only clear signal it will pass to Gordon is yes, the numpties are in power in Scotland.

The treaty is a major piece of simplification of the current structures and completes work started by Margaret Thatcher and John Major, to change the EU - you'd have thought 'dillitante dave' would have tried to taken the credit for this too.

Why should we have a say?

Who is Gordon McBroon to tell us that we can't have a say on the fate of our own country? Arrogant little Scottish Rite Freemason scum.
