HOOTERS, the American restaurant empire famous for its female staff who wear skimpy outfits, right, has unveiled plans to open in Scotland.
The Florida-based firm has announced it is looking for high-profile sites in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen as part of an expansion drive to coincide with its 25th anniversary.
The politically incorrect company, which has its beach-themed restaurants in more than 25 countries across the world, is best known for its waitresses having to wear tight-fitting white T-shirts and orange shorts.
Adverts placed in the UK property press seeking sites say the firm is "busting out" in the UK and is "looking for a perfect fit". It has only one UK restaurant at the moment, in Nottingham.
The company has faced a number of sex discrimination cases in the US over its female-only waiting-staff policy.
