Demand for snares to be axed

ANIMAL campaigners were today urging the Scottish Government to ban the use of snares.
Environment minister Mike Russell was due to make a statement to the Scottish Parliament on the use of the devices this afternoon.

And animal welfare groups have been leading calls for snaring to be outlawed.

Their campaign has won the backing of high-profile animal lovers, including actress Joanna Lumley, Queen guitarist Brian May and Annette Crosbie from the BBC sitcom One Foot in the Grave.

Louise Robertson, of the League Against Cruel Sports, said: "I hope the minister has listened to what the majority of Scots want and will take away the opportunity to eradicate these vicious traps once and for all."

Why don't they shut up and mind their own business?

They haven't a clue what they are talking about. If they think that the vermin targetted by these snares is harmless, then perhaps they wouldn't mind playing host to a few of them---in their own houses.

This'll be 'the majority of Scots' that live and work in towns and cities I suppose? I never hear them campaigning for an end to rat-traps, cockroach eradication, wasp and fly killer or ant powder. These animals and insects not cuddly enough for them?

Stick to your pollution filled, noisy, over-lit sardine tins and leave those of us who see rural areas as something more than a playground alone, thank you very much.

As a rural scot I demand the eradication of the hoards of schemie vermin who are now leaving ther natural habits, having stolen anything of value that their neighbours had, and are now begining to infest the countryside.

Anything small enough for a snare is just vermin and deserves all it gets,cooked properly, MMmmm Lovely.

#5 No problem, I've studied the vermin in their natural habitat, and I'm setting them on the paths to the off licence, the smack dealers and the DSS office.
