PEOPLE moving to Scotland from other parts of the UK have boosted the population by more than 150,000 over a decade, new figures will reveal today.
A Bank of Scotland report will show that 542,524 people moved to Scotland from other areas between 1998 and 2007, while only 384,767 left. This increased the country's population by 157,757.

South-east England was the most popular region for people to move to from elsewhere in the UK, leading to a net increase of 550,889.

More than 2.2 million people moved to the area, while almost 1.7 million left.

London lost the largest number of people through internal migration, with almost two million moving out of the city while 1.6 million moved to it.

Probably, it's what he does best!

My wife and I were one of the influx, having moved to central Perthshire. We soon saw the light and moved out again.

Big Scottish chips on their shoulders and a tendency to blame the English for everything. They forget that, without the influx, Scotland will eventually be void of any population of a useful age or capability, seeing as most of the natives leave for pastures green, then bleat on about how they miss the homeland.

It got right on my t**s - the numpties!

We live just over the border into England so we can still enjoy the Scottish countryside without having to live with the moaning minnies.

Would you be so kind as to convince other like minded folk to folow your actions?

Many thanks in anticipation from all the Scotts!

#12 Probably not, and I am not loud-mouthed and ignorant. Your bigoted reaction shows you to be as culpable as I am!

For the record, my wife IS Scottish, Glasgow born and Glasgow bred! After a decade away, she was excited about moving back to Scotland and so was I. Like myself, she was amazed by the attitudes and the cringe-worthy, sly digs at the English when were in so called sociable company. "Oh, not you, we don't mean you!" was the often used excuse.

She just got fed up with having to apologise.

Don't get me wrong, not every Scot is the same, just as every Englishman isn't the same, she was just so disillusioned.

The one thing I never did, was bleat on about how I missed my homeland, but would never go back. Believe me, I knew plenty of Scots in Manchester that did that very thing, singing the praises of Scotland, but saying they would never return to live there.

No "better than you" attitude here and I apologise to the Scots who I have offended.
