CONFUSED festival fans can plug into their own mini sat nav at open air music events this summer to help find their way back to their tents.
The system operates on the same technology used by motorists and has been introduced to mobile phones that are being snapped up by youngsters eager to avoid the annual problem of remembering their pitch at Glastonbury or Reading.
The latest handsets from mobile giant Nokia come with a built-in GPS system that will give them directions to their sleeping bags as they stagger back to be faced by thousands of identical tents.
It will be the first time thousands of youngsters have been able to access this kind of sophisticated system on a mobile, according to experts.
The gadget could also be used to find a car in the middle of a giant car park at events or shopping centres.
For the more forgetful it can lead them to their favourite drinks' stall at a festival or simply to where they had agreed to meet their friends.
The system is operated by holding the handset by a particular site – a tent, or a car – and clicking "save'" on the phone's map menu page.
