Symmetry trio take Nobel Prize

TWO Japanese and an American have won the Nobel Prize for physics for work on subatomic particles.
American Yoichiro Nambu won half the prize for discovering a mechanism called spontaneous broken symmetry. Makoto Kobayashi and Toshihide Maskawa shared the other half for finding the origin of the broken symmetry.
