3.2m animal experiments

THE number of experiments on animals rose by 6 per cent to just over 3.2 million from 2006 to 2007, the Home Office said yesterday.
It was the sixth annual increase in a row, mainly due to the growing use of genetically modified rodents and fish.

The state should use the crims (murderers paedophiles etc) that are in the prisons and costing the tax payer a fortune to keep (as hanging is now no longer an option to clear the prisons) by using them as guinea pigs their costs could be offset against medical gains (they could be offered less time in prison for taking part).
