Countdown to axing schools

EDUCATION leaders are set to decide the timescale for announcing which Edinburgh schools will face the axe.
The cross-party group set up to review the city's school estate is to meet again next Tuesday.

Gillian Tee, the city's director of education, revealed that the timescale for announcing the schools on the hit-list will be decided at the meeting.

Last month the group decided to give secondary schools in the city a three-year reprieve from possible closure.
