RUSSIA will be forced to make a military response if a US-Czech missile defence agreement is ratified, its foreign ministry said last night.
The statement came hours after US and Czech officials reached an initial agreement on deploying elements of a missile defence system. Russia says the system would severely undermine European security balances.

The U.S. just can't seem to help itself; isn't this the second country in as many days that they've driven to rattling sabres for no good reason?

#1 Aw, the poor Russians.

You are a moron Scullion. America is always wrong to you, even when dealing with the genocidal Russians.

How many million civilians have The US Armed Forces killed since World War 2?

How many million civilians have the Russian Armed Forces killed since World War 2?

Which of the above 2 nations would appear to be genocidal?

The Czech's have still to ratify the agreement, which is by no means certain and it relates only to the radar part of the scheme. Condi is already talking about the radar being useful even without the missiles in Poland. At least the story here is not so gung ho as some of the tabloid versions but why is the Hootsmon circumspect at all?

That the Americans have practiced genocide is indisputable. Some evidence against the Russians would be usual when making such claims.

That bases in Czechia & Poland are aimed at Russia, not Iran as the US claimed, is also obvious.

When threatened it is not unreasonable to take precautions.

What the US gets out of threatening Russia, apart from the pleasure of bullying is not readily apparent. On the other hand this was the pleasure they got out of helping Croatian & Bosnian Nazis & the organleggers of the KLA (well they proably also got some hearts & livers).

It is difficult to see what "military response" Russia can take in the face of this US-led provocation other than to aim missiles of its own at the Czech Republic and/or a "supportive gesture" towards the current US "enemey No.1" Iran.

Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, East Germany, Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Georgia, Chechnya, to name but a few . All were subjugated by Russia and suffered genocide at their hands with millions dying.

Lets just get WWIII over with shall we, once we have halved the worlds population there will be more left for the survivors.

Americans I must admit they did help out poor old blightey during WWII but since then they seem to have become the world polis, live like us or your our enemy, own as much wealth as you can to be important, do as we do or else, hmmmm Im not sure Im quite in support of the "American Dream". But they do seem intent on giving all that armament they possess a damn good airing, all those nimitz class carriers and latest nuclear subs poised to strike.

Let alone the latest battlefield remote controlled weaponry that is operated from 20 miles from the front lines.

Personally I think they are Itching to put into use to see how it performs, russia a real world threat hmmm what about china? India? Bomb them as well just for the hell of it no?

Only time will tell, think what the world needs to do is agree to combine forces and fight america, just think of the SKY media coverage, brought to you live on sky one, tonight its Jack v the SAS in a fight to the death tomorrow its Bush V Sarkozy in a 12 round boxing match to see who has the right to own France.

Its all total madness.

Just like my rant, ok Im of to sanity and do wome work to calm myself down.

Hope its all taken in the humourous manner it was intended wouldnt want to upset the americans, they might reprogramme one of those 1000kilo tonne nukes to land in Fife.

Paddi genocide is a specific crime of getting rid of killing large numbers of people purely because of their ethnicity it is not just general bullying or occupation.

Now if you have some actual evidence of Russian (or even of Soviet) genocide in Bulgaria it would be usual to expect you to produce it.

Genocide; The systematic and planned extermination of an entire national, racial, POLITICAL, or ethnic group. Not for me to relate history to you, study some before expounding your vitriolic prejudices. I suggest you start with the murder of Georgi Markov, a dissident from Bulgaria, high profile, even you might remember that one.

You are of course making up your definitions to suit. The word political is merely a redefinition by yourself.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genocide

Since the very worst you can come up with is further redefining one person as a group & redefining a killing by the Bulgarians as one by the Soviets as one by the Russians..

A certain contempt for truth becomes obvious.

By that definition the murder of Milosevic makes Kirsty Wark, as a BBC representative & thus a British government civil servant & thus part of NATO guilty of the "genocide" of Milosevic.

While I would certainly hold any member of the BBC guilty as an accessory in covering up the real & extensive genocide our government participated in in Kosovo, Bosnia & Croatia that particular charge is unsustainable.

I think it important to get such charges accurate or all you are doing is propaganda.

It's quite obvious what the US gets out of this crazy move. It has been their policy to ring Russia and China with military bases. This ring of steel is meant to "contain" those countries, in fact neither of those countries has any designs on other countries but that is no matter.
You have to ask yourself why Nato is still operational these days as the USSR is no longer around. Yet nato appears to have found one excuse after another not to disband.
Basically the US needs enemies to support its weapons industry. No one would buy weapons worth millions of US dollars if there was no one to fight, so they don't want that to happen. Hence the need for sustained provocation against anyone that poses any sort of ecnomic threat to them.
Americans have the mentality of toddlers. They want what they want and they want it ALL RIGHT NOW or else they throw a tantrum and people die. They slaughter people all over the world to protect the "American dream" or the "American way of life". That way of life is heavily dependent on oil, big business and pollution.

Well said.

Also, every few years they seem to want to play with their new toys - so they start a war.

Prior to 1914 France & Russia concluded an alliance to surround and contain Germany/Austria with Britain joining in on the sidelines trying to contain the German Navy.

I think we know where that ended up.
