Hotel makes room for hospital charity drive
STAFF at a Princes Street hotel have raised £1000 for the Sick Kids after the son of one worker was admitted with gastroenteritis.
Emma Campbell, room sales manager at the Ramada Mount Royal, was overwhelmed by the care the hospital showed to Cameron, now two, who was put in an isolation unit when he was just ten months old.
The hotel made the Sick Kids its chosen charity and raised funds throughout 2007 through regular lucky ticket draws for staff, donations from guests and a percentage from the sale of cuddly toys.
Linda Watson, general manager of the hotel, said: "Staff have committed themselves wholeheartedly to raising money."
