ONE policeman died and three others were wounded in clashes with militants in Saudi Arabia today.
Witnesses reported clashes taking place in al-Baradah, 250 miles north-east of Riyadh.

The region has been a site of frequent attacks linked to al-Qaida. In April, four security officers were killed when a group of militants opened fire on a checkpoint in the region.

Today’s clashes come a day after the surrender of a wanted militant in connection with an attack in the eastern city of Khobar that killed 22 people.
