LEE McCulloch insists the best is yet to come as he prepares to hit top form with Rangers next term.
He said: "I look upon the last 12 months as my settling-in campaign. Now it is about showing what I can do. It took time to adapt but I've been able to and I'm ready to go again after the break and give it my all."

For the Gers a left sided midfield player is a must, someone with a bit of ability, a football brain and a bit of bite.

Hoping the Smith can recover his fitness, find his game again and slot in to the position he made his own at left back, before his injury.

AS for the squad getting strengthened, all good things come to those that wait, also it doesn’t need to be strengthened to put the upstarts from across the river into 2nd place, in fact I think you'll have a fight on your hands trying to get 2nd from DUNDEE UNT!

I could be wrong but that’s my opinion and if I am wrong, I’ll come on and take my punches for the posts endings at the end of the season, sure sounds nice though!

This one is for Fay with a G.

The Dugs they had a party
They came from near and far
Some they came by airplane
And others came by car
As they went into the party
They signed the visitor’s book
And each one took it's A$$hole off
And hung it on a separate hook
One Dog was not invited and that aroused his ire
So he rushed into the party and
Loudly shouted fire!
The Dugs got so excited they had no time to look
So each one grabbed an a$$hole
From off the nearest hook
So that is why when Dogs meet
On land, sea, or foam
They sniff each others a$$hole
To see if it’s their own.

Nighty night.

Good morning. Every day is a joy when you're looking down the league table at the also rans.

Elbows McCulloch reckons there's better to come? I should think there should be. 2.5 big ones for the square root of hee haw, Wattie must be sick at yet another highly paid dud loitering around the sick bay.

Oh Puleeeez let it be true that Lovelypants is coming back. He was the reason Martin switched from the back 3 to a back 4. As soon as he did that and Agathe toyed with Lovelypants the diva took up acting, remember the pathetic swan lake diva performance to get Thommo sent off?

Pat McCourt sound like he's relishing the opportunity to really apply himself and see how far he can go with the 3 times Champions. Good luck to the guy, I hope it's good for all concerned.

How can the best still be coming? They got to three cup finals out of three and won 2, and got to the last game of the season in the league. That alone is as good as it gets in football, you cant do any better Mr McCulloch.

#2 - very true, i think he proved a few sceptics wrong early season, but during the 2nd half (when he played) he was pretty duff. lets hope sir walter doesn't see him as integral next season - its pace we need up front, not high diagonal balls and elbows (for once i agree with chucky on something!)

god, if only we had the exciting prospect of pat mccourt to look forward to!

No matter who signs for the old firm they will all have to be given a chance.
I notice in previous threads that Lafferty is already considered a dud by the celtic faithful. No doubt if celtic had been successful in their bid he would be considered the next big superstar in the east end.
Even Kenny Miller will have to be given a chance, and yes even I was against his signing but only on ability terms. I f he comes back and proves me wrong then great.
Other signings will surely follow and lets look forward to a successful season.
As for no mccourt thread is it really surprising, just think of the issues involved when you consider some of the lunatics who post here.
Have a nice day......

The best is yet to come, says Elbows. Yes, Lee, but who for? Certainly not the crumbling Thread Bears, still smarting from the world-wide opprobrium that followed their exploits in Manchester. Dog-fight for second place is the best the Bearz can hope for this season, I feel.

As for Pat McCourt, this could be a story for the ages, how a young man with limitless talent totally lost his way but found it again in time to become a legend for the world-wide force of nature that is the Celtic family.

God, will this feeling of delight and schadenfreude ever leave me! lol! Woohoo!

#30 I think, if the truth be told, no side outwith the old firm will be close this season. Hearts are a club in turmoil and must get the Romanov issue sorted out.
The big problem there is what happens if he goes as I think your club could be in serious financial difficulties. Motherwell and Dundee utd will again challenge but will be well off the pace by the end of the season.
It will be a battle between the old firm again...
Have a nice day....

Great to see you are so wound up about Paddy McCourt. I highly doubt you will see him in a Celtic v Rangers match so you won’t get you wish to see him “carried off in a crumpled heap.”

Again – typical comment from a disgusting Rangers supporter.

Scotland was unusually unified by concern today when it emerged that ReaRangers Chairman, Sir Minty Moonbeams, has been officially placed on the missing persons register.

Sir Minty, had last been seen in April discussing ReaRangers fantastic season and his plans for the “Moonbeam Dome”. He had committed to make an announcement on the issue in May, and staked his reputation on the delivery of the project. Since then, ReaRangers lost horrendously in Europe, Rioted in Manchester, and when the Mighty Celtic found their form and cranked up several gears in the SPL, ReaRangers were found badly wanting for quality and class.

ReaRangers Chief Executive, Bainochio had this to say, “its just no’ like him at all. Ah’m beside masel wi worry here. Completely at ma wits end. Ah miss him terribly, he used to call me Wayland Smithers and I’d call him Monty Burns, Oh how we laughed.”

Asked if there were any reasons for the disappearance he said “naw, none at all. When Sir Minty makes a commitment he always delivers, however it is now the 58th of May and we huvny heard anything yet”

The date used by Bainochio is the ReaRangers calendar, as it is believed that he, the Daily ReaRanger and the SFA are campaigning parliaments in both London and Brussells to have the month of May extended.

Later this week, producers of milk cartons will have a picture of Minty added to them. Of course, this will only be the full fat blue labelled ones and not the low fat green labelled.

Bainochio fought back tears as he said “help me find my Minty. In hard times, every wummin needs his man at her side”

If you are a lardersed consumer of full fat milk and see the picture of Minty, a fat man, a jolly man, sat in his favourite chair with his tank top on giving both thumbs up, grinning from ear to ear, please please help the Find Minty Campaign by dialling 0141 888 1967. You’ll make a baldie man extremely happy.

Shocking new developments in the missing Minty story.

Since the announcement of the Moonbeam Dome in April, it appears that Interpol have traced Mintys last moves to Portugal where ReaRangers played in the city which will forever be synonymous with Scotlands greatest sporting achievement. ReaRangers were playing against the poorest Sporing Lisbon team in memory.

Readers may recall that to stop the spread of Raging Ranger Syndrome, Minty was told that he must purchase the tickets direct and ensure that no allocation was given to syndrome sufferers.

It is round about this time Minty was last seen in public.

In an incredible twist to the story, ReaRangers Chief Executive Bainochio has been quizzed by local Portuguese Police and been given the status of aguido. He is now a formal suspect in the case and he is forbidden to leave the country.

More on these developments to follow.

"ReaRangers were playing against the poorest Sporing Lisbon team in memory."

A better team than the Benfica team who beat you in Portugal and who you narrowly and luckily beat 1-0 in Glasgow due to a flukey McGeady goal. Flukey goals, a constant feature of Celtc's CL campaign. 5 goals scored and everyone of them by a deflection or goalkeeping error.

Rangers formation & style of play last season ment that Lee was mostly played out left, something he's not so used to.

I think he'll remain as a squad player for next season & we'll see a different side to his play.

I see that Celtic are goind to bid £2M for Timothee Atouba of Hamburg.

What is it with Celtic?
First they sign a Paddy, now there after a Tim.

Are they only signing players who's name appeals to the stereoptypical Celtic supporter?

Ps. Did Minty have a yacht?

The actual story at the top is the smallest interview I've ever seen.

Couldnt the interviewer think of any more questions?

Calm doon.....I merely pointed out the background....

You seem to want to ignore the background....

Now if this guy Mike Dunlop had decided not to race.....would you have considered him a poor driver....I doubt it!

#102 - come on now, Celtic proved that they've learned how to cope with tragedy. Just look how well they coped with the death of a lifelong, loyal servant of the club compared to how they coped when it happened to someone who hadn't been near the place in years and was on his second club since leaving them. That showed real emotional development, and was of course nothing to do with the league positions at the time...

103 - the threads have been halted on the McCourt story.

Must be his combative style of pay which upsets opposing fans

DH's analogy wasnt very good but he does have a point. We have almost total command of the moral high ground anyway.....

It's not an excuse ya clown.....merely an opinion of why we MAY....that's right....MAY....not have got the best out of him....

Or....

We could all take your view....ignore the background and tell everyone the death of his sister had f*ck all to do with his performance...just because you want to score cheap points!

Ya plum!

I take it you don't do family funerals.....on the grounds.....you've got better things to do and life moves on!

Re: the headline in the McCourt story.

Is it reasonable or even sensible to compare Lennons experiences with McCourt?

He's played 9 times at under 21 level & once for the first NI team, & apparently experienced no problems.

Maybe it had more to do with Lenny's persona than anything else & I doubt if McCourt will suffer the same fate.

I sincerely hope not anyway.

Me thinks thats why the hootsman has halted the threads here as the extremists will be out in force.

I hear Ninny Narrow Of Ra Peepul is queuing to be the first to post on that thread. Hope he's brough his flask and a change of underwear!

118 Royalty, Lenny never had problems with the majority of NI fans when he was at Leicester. They turned on him when he joined Celtic.

Spot the coincidence

Septic have control of the moral high ground??????
On what planet and in which plane?
serial denial, rewriting history and presenting lies as fact at intolerable volume? merely a few examples of the behaviour associated with your club and fans over the years, others we cannot mention.
Yes moral high ground, in much the same way as the phuds who sing 'we are not sectarian, we are the uvf' arent really sectarian!

#130 He may not have received death threats, which I agree is pretty excessive, but he has been attacked and the verbal abuse over a sustained period has been way over the top and reflects very badly on the moronic element (of which there is many) of the celtic support.
Have a nice day.....

#135 Absolute rubbish, if celtic had failed to win the title the knives would have been out for brown, as they had been for most of the season, and I repeat mainly from disgruntled celtic fans.
