SOLIDARITY MSP Tommy Sheridan has tabled a motion in the Scottish Parliament demanding an independent inquiry into the controversial private finance initiative, after Capital academics highlighted soaring costs.
A study by Edinburgh University's Centre for International Public Health warned the payments from health boards across Scotland to private financiers will increase from the £107million a year to £510m a year by 2011.
