A 66-YEAR-OLD businesswoman thought to be the UK's oldest new mother was keeping a low profile yesterday, after the birth of her baby son.
The Cambridge hospital where Elizabeth Adeney is believed to have given birth earlier this week said she wanted "no publicity". And a friend staying at her home in Lidgate, Suffolk, said he could make "no comment on anything".
Mrs Adeney's Renault car was parked outside the house with a baby seat fitted in the back.
Divorcee Mrs Adeney has consistently refused to speak to journalists and earlier this month drove away from her home at speed to avoid being photographed.
She is understood to have undergone fertility treatment abroad and delivered her baby by Caesarian section.
