Referendum bid on Lisbon fails

TYCOON Stuart Wheeler has failed in a bid to force a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty. An appeal judge held his challenge to the High Court's rejection of his case had "no prospect of success".
The treaty, meant to simplify EC decision making, has been ratified by the UK, but cannot take effect in Europe due to Ireland's No vote.

Politicians at their very worst.

Don't let's kid ourselves. Trade with Europe is vital to this country, that no party in power would want to be seen as killing off the Treaty.

No UK party (irrespective of what they say), would dare bring this to the British public.

Thank God for Ireland, La France and the Dutch.

Thank goodness there was someone willing to spend money on trying to get us the referendum that scumbags Blair and Brown promised but didn't deliver.

The sensible thing would have been to come out of europe and join EFTA but Brown wouldn't have got his £10.000,000 reward. Only traitors sell their country to foreign powers.

Wheeler deserva a knighthood for his effort to get us justice. Far better him to get one than all the footballers, over the hill pop stars etc.
