PARENTS are to protest against the planned closures of Edinburgh Leisure crèches at a forthcoming council meeting.
They will be holding banners and collecting signatures for a petition at the City Chambers on May 29.

Campaigners also hope to bring a deputation which will call on direct council funding to keep the facilities open at Kirkliston, Leith, Craiglockhart and the Royal Commonwealth Pool.

The parents are also angered by a £2 price rise at the crèches which will stay open.

Parenting today means gettin others to pay to look after your children. Now they don't want to contribute to the cost which is typically indicative of their whole attitude to child care.
WE need to look after THEIR children while they relax.
Try getting your husband to do this instead of costing people who could care less about YOUR children.
I would shut all creches down if they do not make a profit or at the very least break even.
