City MP calls for UK ban on dog and cat fur trade

SHOCKING footage exposing the cruelty of the international trade in dog and cat fur has led Edinburgh West MP John Barrett to call for a UK-wide ban on imports of the fur.
Mr Barrett, along with the Scottish SPCA, made the call after seeing footage filmed by animal rights group PETA in China showing dogs and cats thrown off a bus in preparation for being skinned.
