1 What is your earliest memory of Edinburgh?
Coming here as a child with a friend and her family. Her nana lived just beside Arthur's Seat and I remember thinking how strange it looked to have this hill among all the houses.
2 What are your me
mories of school?
I come from Newton Stewart and I hated the primary school as it was all very serious and we didn't get to do plays or fun things. Secondary was different. I had fun but also got stuck in and got grades for university.
3 Where is your favourite place in Edinburgh and why?
One of the driving test centres is at Musselburgh and it is a lovely place. On a sunny day there is nothing better then driving along the shore and seeing the waves.
4 What are the best things about Edinburgh?
The size of the city is perfect. I went to Glasgow University and found the city too big. Here I like the fact that you can drive from one side to the other in a short time.
5 What would you change about the city?
I think there are still areas to develop, but the new park and ride stations will make headway towards reducing city centre traffic.
6 Describe a perfect Edinburgh day/night out.
I'd go to the Gyle Centre for shopping and lunch before taking a walk at Cramond. I'd then enjoy a barbecue in my garden before hitting the town with my friends and on to the Jam House for a boogie.
7 Which sports interest you?
I like all sports and played a lot of basketball and hockey at school.
8 What was your most embarrassing moment?
I went to a wedding once for the evening reception and asked a woman I recognised whether she had been invited all day. It turned out to be the bride's mother.
9 What is your greatest achievement?
Setting up and building the business while being a single parent.
