Stupid minority shame Scotland

WHAT should have been an evening of festivity in Manchester, at Wednesday's Uefa Cup final, turned into an evening of disgrace that threatens the hard-won reputation of Scottish football fans as friendly ambassadors for their country.
It goes without saying that those fans involved in unacceptable behaviour were a minuscule fraction of the 100,000 happy Scots who travelled south to watch Rangers play Zenit St Petersburg. No-one in Scotland should feel anything other than embarrass...

Nonsense. Alcohol was not the problem. The problem was the people who, whether or not they cannot control their alcohol, did not control their hooliganism.

Correct, as the screens failed about 19:30 and the worst violence started about 2215. Blaming the violence on the failure of the big screens is a cop out. The only real surprise related to this violence is that anyone is surprised.
