I would go further than Malcolm Ross (Letters, 17 July) and increase the age limit for obtaining a car driving licence to at least 20 (and also for buying alcohol, getting married, voting and serving in combat roles in the armed forces) and in sympathy with DJ Hollingdale, would set a minimum age of at least 50 for bank executives if not bank clerks.
