I found the tone of your report, "Diamond hunters find 15th-century treasure galley" (3 May) dismissive of the geologists. This treasure was uncovered only due to the diligence and thoroughness of diamond agency Namdeb's chief geologist, who has almost 40 years' experience after graduating from Edinburgh University. He definitely was cognisant of what he had uncovered.
