Nothing like a misleading, emotive headline. Surely, "Police in a foreign country 4000 miles away use stun gun on 72-year-old woman would be more accurate?2

As the Sheriff said, "There is no separate continuum for young people, old people, male or female"!The criteria is whether or not that person is a danger. She was quite clearly warned several times before being tazed.
Age? One should normally respect elder folk, but there are times when that is not feasible or sensible.
The guy who shot the security guard at the Holocaust Museum, was 88years old!Children with single figure ages have shot and killed parents. He was the man on the spot.He was also the department's Tazer Training Officer,so it is likely he would have stuck to the rules.
