Pinter too ill for Nobel Prize day

PLAYWRIGHT Harold Pinter will today be awarded the Nobel Prize for literature at a ceremony in Sweden.
But the 75-year-old, who is recovering from cancer of the oesophagus, has been forbidden by his doctors from travelling to the event in Stockholm.

The award will be collected by his publisher, Stephen Page.
