From the outside looking in, it appears that John McCain's best strategy would be to say as little as he can and see if America's ambivalence about Obama does his work for him.
The American federal system of checks and balances would prevent any radical transformation of their political landscape if Obama were to be elected. However, if he were to become President, it would be a brave and symbolic gesture to the world that America is ready to change. The world would notice, applaud and we would all be much better off because of it.

No mention of Democrat Robert Redford's movie on Che Gueuvara - which tried to glorify Geuvara as a Hero of the Left.
This is the same Geuvara that executed people without trial - something that Redford didn't mention in his movie.
Funny that.

The outside? That's an understatement.
The system of checks and balances no longer functions.
Obama represents no change, never mind a radical transformation. He's backing the FISA bill: federally endorsed presidential wire-tapping at will, retroactive legalization of same, and immunity for the telecom companies that handed over data without the hint or promise of a warrant.
Transformation? Horse hockey!

Given Hollywood's ability to jumble the facts, Obama could turn out in the film to be white. After all, "An Inconvenient Truth" was the biggest load of lies and nonsense produced in a film since the American WWII epics.

Go for it Obama. You can get through to the majority of Americans despite the dreadful media you have to fight. Gore knows all about that, having suffered the most appalling, shameful sustained attack from the cowards in the press. Believe it or not, there are STILL Americans who believe Gore claimed to have invented the internet. Of course he didn't claim that,
but unfortunatley , some people will clutch on to anything to justify their not voting for Obama.
Marvel at how we are back to ,He doesn't wear a tie pin, he's not patriotic enough, totally ignoring the fact McCain hardly ever wears one, nor does Clinton, but it's only Obama who gets the flack.
Despite all these plurile efforts, I still believe there is enough sane Americans who will not vote for that aged, vietnam collaberator, how could they ?.
Can anyone explain McCains life long battle to close down the whole Vietnam war affair. Stopping all further efforts to find those still not accounted for, blocking every attempt to have prisoner's files released and even blocking aid to Vietnam veterans.
Go to the site "Vietnam veterans against John McCain" to see what a thoroughly despicable old man he really is. Patriotic ??? what a sick joke that is. Come on America, this is your last chance before you slip into hell.

Wonder if there will be 13 proven lies in this film too then?
Considering that McCain spent years in a North Vietnamese prison camp & didn't break I think Obama will steer clear of any Rambo references.

#11 Actually he "Broke" immediatley. Go to the web site mentioned at post 8 and learn about the REAL john McCain. As a matter of interest, where did you get the info that he "Didn't break". You can see him on the site hugging , like old freinds , some of the worst torturers of US prisoners. He was never tortured, something his iwn commanding officer also believes.
Also, POWS don't generally get out to visit hotels while the war continues (SeePictures on site).
What's more disgusting to the military is the fact this traitor received an astonishing 28 medals for a total of 20 hrs in combat(Think about that). Another reason he is detested by the Military. Oh and there's lots lots lots more, none of which you will ever see on US media, the nearest thing the West has to Pravda.
The truth is out there, pity so many Americans lack the moral courage to face it.

Alex in Chicago is correct that Obama does not really represent such change (unfortunately). The American mass media is the best propaganda machine ever built. Nobody from either party is allowed to be a serious candidate unless he is owned by the people who rule. Obama is no exception.
In other US election news - Ron Paul's campaign manager has died. He was 49 years old, had very large medical debts, and had no health insurance. He got pneumonia, he neglected to go to the doctor until it was too late - and he died from it.

Scullion, #3, what checks and balances are you referring to?
For a Canadian you are as usual incorrect about the US Government.
Wally what the hell does Ron Paul's Campaign Manager have to do with this. I suppose next you will imply he was poisoned to keep quiet about the Federal Reserve?

#12. Number 6. Did not know about that site. Interesting. I was prepared to bounce back here and dispute your interpretation of its content and the legitimacy of the same... Until I saw David Hackworth's article that supported a lot of what you said. While he's no longer alive, Hackworth (unlike the Clintons) had a very tight relationship with the truth. For anyone interested...http://www.vietnamveteransagainstjohnmccain.com/cin_hacker_2.htm

James in #19:
I don't know where Dr. Paul was when his campaign manager was very sick. But their campaign's been disbanded for some time. I read Dr. Paul was saddened & shocked when he heard.
I would presume Dr. Paul bought health insurance for his employees, but you never know. Possibly this campaign manager was not insurable. Meaning, the insurance companies possibly refused to insure him because of an underlying condition.
Regardless of how you look at it, it does make the US health-care system look very bad for a 49 year old to die of pneumonia.
