Thief stole bottles of whisky from day centre for elderly
A THIEF who broke into a day centre for the elderly made off with bottles of whisky intended for a charity tombola.
The culprit raided St David's Bradbury Day Centre in Newtongrange, Midlothian, on the evening of Friday, June 13. Police were contacted by the centre's alarm company just after 11pm.
It was later discovered that four bottles of whisky had been taken. The drink had been collected to raise cash for the centre at a stall on Newtongrange Gala Day. Police are appealing for information.
