A FLY-TIPPING dump next to a popular woodland walk is being cleaned up by the council after complaints from residents.
Midlothian Council has started clearing rubbish at the site near Harper's Brae in Penicuik.

A Midlothian Council spokeswoman said: "We are taking immediate steps to prevent any further illegal dumping by reinstating the gate."

It's a shame that the residents couldn't be bothered to take the matter into their own hands and do the cleaning up themselves
