Pride of place for Bill's prize

A SITE manager has scooped a prize at the awards billed as "the Oscars of the house-building industry" for his work near Dalkeith.
Bill Torry, who has worked for George Wimpey for 36 years, picked up a Pride in the Job award from the National House Building Council for his efforts at the company's St David's Gardens development in Eskbank.
He said: "I'm passionate about striving to deliver the very best I can on every site, each and every day. The team effort to consistently produce a high quality range of homes has played a vital role in achieving this award."
