Pride of place for Bill's prize

A SITE manager has scooped a prize at the awards billed as "the Oscars of the house-building industry" for his work near Dalkeith.
Bill Torry, who has worked for George Wimpey for 36 years, picked up a Pride in the Job award from the National House Building Council for his efforts at the company's St David's Gardens development in Eskbank.

He said: "I'm passionate about striving to deliver the very best I can on every site, each and every day. The team effort to consistently produce a high quality range of homes has played a vital role in achieving this award."

Pity that they have now stopped building at St Davids..........joiners and roofers making the unfinished flats and houses waterproof and leaving them unfinished unless some eejit buys one at the inflated values that will now haunt those already there.

I reckon the 3 bedroom semi's there which were at £275k will be knocked out at under £200k in 6 months.

Negative equity bites.

Affordable housing Wimpy!!! You'r avin a laff !!!
