Mums' gala dinner raises thousands

A CHARITY started by six Bonnyrigg mums has raised more than £26,000 from a gala dinner to help parents who have lost their newborn babies.
Simpsons Memory Box Appeal (SIMBA) was founded three years ago to provide support to grieving parents, giving them boxes of keep sakes and memories of their child.
Aside from the charity, the big winner from the event was Joanne Mayne, of Alnwickhill, who won a Fiat 500 car worth £8200.
