A £200,000 diamond ring once owned by Marilyn Monroe which was stolen from an exhibition has been offered for sale, according to a caller to BBC1’s Crimewatch.
The ring, bearing the letter "M" in diamonds, was taken along with a gold bangle, believed to be worth in the region of £50,000, from London’s County Hall Gallery earlier this month.

A suspect captured on closed-circuit television leaving the exhibition was allegedly identified by a Crimewatch viewer.
