A footballer in San Lorenzo, Argentina is full of remorse after his shot struck a pigeon and killed it.
Gaston Aguirre said: "I kicked the ball and, poor pigeon. Now I will be remembered as the pigeon killer."

The 27-year-old professional hit the bird in a 2-1 victory against Tigre in a three-team round-robin for the Argentine league title. It was among a group of pigeons were on the field apparently looking for seed

pigeons MUST be here for a reason! There are worse things
than pigeons, at least they don't commit crime so aren't
they less of a nuisance.
