Unfair and illogical

Ruth Shepley (Letters, 13 May) has neatly summarised the unfairness of the council tax and we can only hope political momentum gathers to support Alex Salmond in his election commitment to get rid of it. There can be no justification for a tax that is as logical as the ancient "window tax".
