The Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, is reduced to lecturing the workers on the virtues of frugality (your report, 7 July), after 11 years of a Labour government that has gone from hope to despair, with not much in between. How essentially socialist.

Socialism fails every time but still the people of Scotland, if they don't vote Labour, still vote for Socialism.

No reason why they should be as they are not funded by the trade unions.

Still way too many lefties in the party though.

I can't be the only one who remembers the inter-union "demarcation disputes" of the 70s.
