David Maddox (your report, 14 May) tells us Wendy Alexander's position has become untenable since MSPs have ditched her pledge that the party would not stand in the way of a referendum bill. David Maddox (Opinion, 20 May) writes that when Ms Alexander formed her new policy "she had the almost wholehearted backing of her MSPs".
Isn't it the case most Labour MSPs were against the policy right from the call of "Bring it on" and any voiced support was merely out of party loyalty?

Wendy was quite right: the sooner Alex's bluff is called the better for our future.

Wendy's apparent u-turn on the referendum bill is not as startling as the SNP lack of enthusiasm for independence.....

Glad you could make it, Mikey.

'Takes wan tae know wan?'

No, this is a silly thing to say. One needs to be a fried egg to recognise a fried egg when one sees one? I don't think so.
