Knife-carrying youth culture must be blunted
A HORRIFIC stabbing at T in the Park, Scotland's biggest music festival, brought to a dismal end one of the most brutal weeks for knife crime north and south of the Border. The 22-year-old victim is now in a serious condition in hospital. Six people were stabbed to death in England last week, four of these in the capital. In Scotland, it is estimated more than 30 people are stabbed each week. The Strathclyde region alone saw four attempted murders and ten serious assaults.
The T in the Park stabbing is believed to have been particularly savage with the police looking for two suspects whose clothes are thought to have been heavily bloodstained.
