DETECTIVES investigating the "horrific" murder of a woman today issued a fresh appeal for information.
Tracy Scott, 41, was found in her home in Waverley Road, Paisley at around 3.30pm on 26 April.
She was last seen by members of her family at around 5.30pm on 23 April when she left their home in the Foxbar area to return to her flat.
Police urg
ed anyone who may have seen or spoken to Ms Scott - or noticed any visitors to her ground floor flat between Wednesday and Saturday - to contact them.
Detective Chief Inspector John Weir said: "We are still trying to establish a motive for this horrific crime.
"Tracy was a well-loved woman who had a close circle of family and friends. She was hard working and well-liked by neighbours and colleagues.
"She lived in the ground floor flat which has a front door facing on to the street.
"With her door facing on to the street, I am particularly keen to hear from passers-by who may have seen someone visiting her home.
"Any little piece of information could prove vital to this investigation and I would urge members of the public to think carefully if they saw or heard anything that could assist us."
