A MAN was knocked to the ground and mugged on London Road.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the attack, which saw a group of three men set on the victim and steal his bag, which contained a range of expensive items.

The 31-year-old was walking east past the small lodge house on the south footpath at 5.30am on Sunday when a group of men engaged him in conversation before attacking and heading off towards Royal Terrace Gardens.

Two of the suspects are white, while the third is of Asian appearance.

Contact the police on 0131-311 3131 with any information.
