A PLUMBER who paid for £1500 worth of goods with his former employer's credit details has been jailed – after police exposed him as a drug dealer.
Kyle Davidson, 17, had already lost his job when he walked out of a Capital wholesaler with a boiler and electric shower.

Staff checked with his former employers who brought in the police, and a search of Davidson's Niddrie Mill flat uncovered co
caine worth an estimated £12,500.

Today at Edinburgh Sheriff Court, Davidson was sentenced to a total of 16 months after pleading guilty to fraud and being concerned in the supply of drugs.

The court heard how Davidson was working for a plumbing company called Factotum until October 2007.

Three months later, he walked into a trade store in Edinburgh and ordered the goods using his former company's details.

The shop assistant recognised Davidson, but the next morning became suspicious and raised the alarm.

Police obtained a warrant to search Davidson's flat – but were shocked to uncover a 250g bag of the Class A drug.

Sheriff Gordon Liddle told him there was no other alternative to a jail term.

He said: "It will come as no surprise to you that nothing other than a custodial sentence for these crimes will be appropriate."

Davidson was sentenced to eight months in prison on the fraud charge and a further 16 months for supplying drugs, sentences which will run concurrently.
