Charity Harry Potter story conjures up £25,000
A HAND-written Harry Potter prequel has sold at auction for £25,000.
The 800 word story went under the hammer in London to raise money for Dyslexia charities. The prequel is set three years before Harry's birth and centres around his father James and godfather Sirius Black.
JK Rowling's prequel comes almost a year after the last book in the series, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, hit the shelves.
However, the writer, who lives in Edinburgh, is keen to make it clear that the short story is not going to be developed any further.
She says at the end of the story, written on both sides of an A5 storycard: "From the prequel I am not working on – but that was fun!"
