IRAQ plans to renovate and reopen Abu Ghraib prison, the notorious site of executions and torture under Saddam Hussein and later of a US prisoner abuse scandal.
The sprawling prison on Baghdad's western outskirts, which has not been used as a jail since 2006, will also feature a museum of crimes committed under Saddam.

Is it not also going to feature a museum of crimes committed by the Septics?

should read 'the notorious site of torture and executions under saddam hussein and the united states'. the two are equivalent, and to gloss the horrors of abu ghraib with 'prisoner abuse scandal' is not good enough.

not justifying unlawful activities...

but compairing the activities of the US with those of Husseins Iraq.... is well... disingenuous... to say the least...

Personally, I would like to know the background of the prisoners held there. Were they murderers, rapists, child molesters, did they shoot at our soldiers or allied soldiers, were they part of al qeada, were they planning to be homicide bombers that purposely and intentionally wanted to kill as many as they could???? Can anyone, "without being biased", give any info on these prisoners??? I think not.

"did they shoot at our soldiers or allied soldiers"

Are you suggesting that to defend one's country against invaders should warrant imprisonment and torture by the invaders?
