SNP quits Highland Council coalition

THE political make-up of Highland Council will change after the SNP withdrew from the ruling coalition.
The 17-strong nationalist group has resigned following disagreements with independents.

The 32-strong Independent group will continue as a minority administration at present.

It was never going to work out, to many of the independents are retired get what they can thingy ma mingys...Good luck to them anyway, sometimes running things by yourself is better, just ask the SNP...

The highland council need more than luck. They need to get rid of the useless staff and managers they employ.

I know many people who work within its ranks and the stories they tell would make Wendy Alexander blush.

A new coalition has been been formed.

Independent's Liberal Democrates, and Labour.
