Planners urge approval for 14 turbines
COUNCILLORS will today be warned that continued opposition to a controversial wind farm in Highland Perthshire may be futile.
And they will be urged to back plans for the erection of 14 giant wind turbines, each 100 metres high, on a stretch of elevated moorland between Glen Cochill and Glen Quaich at Calliacher, south of Aberfeldy.
Nick Brian, the development quality manager for Perth and Kinross told councillors: "Any decision by the council other than a conditional approval would be unjustified and could potentially result in a PLI inquiry, which the council is unlikely to satisfactorily defend."
