THE final stone was yesterday put in place on a £6million streetscape project to improve the centre of Inverness.
The work has seen artwork installed in several streets in "pedestrian-friendly" designs. The project started in January 2007 and led to traffic diversions and complaints from shopkeepers.

£6 million pounds, they must have seen the councillors coming or did one of the councillors own the company that did the work.
Its really great, we cant get a selection of supermakets due to corrupt councillors and now they waste money on so called fancy paving.

You councillors should be ashamed and should resign as you as wasting public money

You really do seem to have a very quaint and out-dated idea of a councillor's responsibilities! :)

These days they only exist as a foil to prevent council tax payers from irritating those oh-so-important senior council officials by asking reasonable questions.
