POLICE are hunting a sex offender who has gone missing from his home in the Highlands.
Donald Ross, 38, was convicted of lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour in May 2007 and was jailed for two years with a two-year extension and supervision in the community until 2011.

He was released from prison on 13 May and has since been living in the Fort William area.

However, Northern Constabulary said yesterday Ross was believed to have left his registered address on 9 July and his current whereabouts were unknown.

A force spokeswoman appealed for anyone who had seen Ross to contact the police.

He is 5ft 8in, stocky with short, grey, receding hair. His left eye is blue and his right eye is grey.

He wears wire-rimmed glasses.
