INVERNESS Airport had its busiest-ever month in July, with more than 74,500 passengers, a 5 per cent increase on last year.
Figures from Highlands & Islands Airport Ltd show almost 2,000 passengers have flown to Spain this year from Inverness. Demand is also growing on flights to Jersey, Italy and Madeira.

Clearly these are not holidaying in the Highlands.
and Yet they are subsidied by Highland Ratepayers and taxpayers.
