FOUR men yesterday went on trial in a German court charged with planning car bomb strikes intended to be as destructive as the 9/11 attacks in the US.
Prosecutors told the court that the men, three Germans and one Turkish national, had planned to bomb discos, airports and an American airbase in 2007.
