ISRAEL'S chief rabbinate severed ties with the Vatican yesterday to protest at a papal decision to reinstate a bishop who publicly denied that six million Jews were killed during the Holocaust.
British-born Richard Williamson, one of four traditionalist Catholic bishops whose exclusion was lifted on Saturday, has denied the Holocaust's extent.
