Rose McIntyre, 36, a marketing assistant from Newington, chooses her favourite summer cafes in the city centre.
The Dome Garden Cafe, Rose Street A nice sheltered patio, great for catching the sun.

Centotre, George Street Enjoy the pavement tables or the cool, white interior.

Made in Italy, Grassmarket Make the most of the Grassmarket's plaza now it's finished.

Cafe Rouge, Frederick Street Feels like a little slice of Paris in the middle of Edinburgh.

The Elephant House, George IV Bridge Not particularly summery, just a great coffee shop all year round.
