Angela Blacklock is a councillor for Leith Walk. Here she lists her favourite places to go in the city.
The Tattoo. I go most years but even if I'm not going it is nice to see the stand going up as it means the beginning of summer. The tattoo for me is something special.

Valvona & Corolla, Elm Row. I like their cooked lunches in the café, their coffee, their cheeses, bread, wine and just about everything really.

Harvey Nichols, St Andrew Square. It sells goods the other department stores don't yet and the eyebrow threading specialist on the ground floor is a magician.

The Botanics, Inverleith. It is a great place to meet friends, especially those with children like me. I like to go there with my family for Sunday lunch.

The Shore, Leith. I bought my first flat here and it's probably nostalgia but there are some great fish restaurants, pubs and a very good art gallery.
