Daniel Jamieson, 25, a marketing student from Morningside, picks his top five running destinations.
The Canalside Like the billboard says, 'It's your own free gym membership'. It's great at this time of year.

The Links/Meadows You have to watch out for bikes and pedestrians, but there's generally plenty of room for everyone.

Water of Leith There's something I love about running beside water. It puts a calming edge on exertions.

Arthur's Seat It's a killer on the way up but on the way down your legs feel so light it's like riding a skateboard.

The Shore You can run from Leith to Portobello by the biggest stretch of water in the city.
